Our anniversary year took us back to where it all began. That’s why yesterday’s Big Farmers’ Festival was all about farm life in the old days. It was a fantastic evening!
Young and old alike thoroughly enjoyed the festive atmosphere, old Dutch traditions, and lots of fun. The children enthusiastically took part in all kinds of old-fashioned farm games: milking a cow, an egg hunt, pin the tail on the donkey, and much more. The petting zoo was a huge success, with lots of cute animals to pet and admire. There were also women in traditional costumes demonstrating how laundry used to be done. Many children and adults watched with great interest and were even allowed to lend a hand.
One of the absolute highlights of the evening was the clog dance performed by the Treffers. Dressed in beautiful traditional Dutch costumes, they truly brought the atmosphere of days gone by to life. Afterward, they invited the guests to join in and taught young and old alike the clog dance. It was wonderful to see how many people enthusiastically joined in!
Thank you to everyone who came and helped out. Together, we made it an unforgettable evening!
