Unique Swimming Pool
De Heigraaf is located right next to the beloved Henschotermeer, a unique swimming lake in the heart of the Utrechtse Heuvelrug forests. Here, you can relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Build your own sandcastle on the long, narrow sandy beach. Swim in the lake or go for a run around it. Take a walk through meadows, woods, and along the beach. There really is something fun for everyone to do! As a guest of De Heigraaf, you have free access to this lovely lake during your stay.
Swimming
The quality of the bathing water is good. In summer, the water is checked regularly. To ensure hygiene, there are several toilet blocks.
The sandy bottom of the lake slopes gradually making it suitable for children.

Water fun & games
The sandy beach lends itself well to a variety of beach games, such as beach volleyball. There is wooden play equipment for smaller visitors, including a pirate ship. At the edge of the forest are playing fields and play mounds.
Walking and running
The paved footpath around the lake has a length of nearly 2,500 meters and is also great for runners.
